The 16th edition of Taste Firenze 2023 has come to a close: the trade fair devoted to the finest of Italian food, shining a light on Italy's artisan producers with the aim of celebrating the taste of tradition alongside the most exclusive new creations.
After years of lockdowns, it was a wonderful chance to shake hands with so many people and so many outstanding producers who make our Italy so fascinating and unique.
Telling you our story and presenting our exclusive specialities was producer Giovanni Cicero: who better than him to talk to you about Carrubato di Sicilia? Our carob bar that so pleasantly surprised you, when we revealed that it contains neither chocolate nor added sugars.
Carrubato is not chocolate at all, but so much more!
Our carob grappa teased your palates with its sweet, rounded notes, a lovely way to get to know carob even for those who had never seen it before.
We were delighted to reach the finals of the Golden Bar 2023 competition, celebrating chocolate excellence, with our new creation Grezzopuro 80% organic: the first bar of organic Cioccolato di Modica IGP, crafted from our own cocoa beans.
The competition's selection was carried out by the national tasting panel of the Compagnia del Cioccolato, who were captivated by the striking aromatic notes of our Grezzopuro chocolate.
And so we close these days with a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us and came to visit, some from very far away.
